Valentine's Day - Fast Approaching:

There's no need to be "that girl" around Valentine's Day, you know who I'm talking about, the one who needs the giant floral arrangement and the expensive piece of jewelry.  It's the little things ladies!

How about this year try to give lovely little somethings to people you care about --- a friend, a co-worker, your mom.  Pick up a sweet little thing to make someone smile this Valentine's Day - and let your man off the hook for something inflated and hope for something thoughtful instead.

There are lots of little notions to choose from out there...

A Typical Post: 2013 Resolutions

Had to do the New Year's post for posterity's sake --- maybe it just provides more accountability to actually get these things done (wink, wink)!

A few resolutions (both big and small):

1. Learn how to do my hair the way it looks when I walk out of Art & Science.
2. Spend more time with my dad (= a better work/life balance in the bigger picture).
3. Cook with fresh veggies during the week.
4. Follow a stricter budget.
5. Decorate my office at work (I need to hang stuff on the walls --- so naked).
6. Wear bright lipstick more often.
7. Give John plenty of back scratches (because he loves them and they are an easy way to show him I care!)
8. Visit my brother in Madison, WI at least twice this year (even if it's freezing outside).
9. Make my friends feel like a priority by doing thoughtful things (a nice note, a recipe they've asked about, spontaneous flowers or wine, etc...).
10. Dance again - ballet barre, here I come!
