Sneak Peek: New Logo

I'm giving you guys a sneak peek at my new logo - trying to turn this blog into a little event design business!  The ever-talented Maria Pelley of Swell Ink designed a logo, business cards, and an amazing new web design for me.  All are soon to come!

Until then, check out the logo:

It's a little pixelated (Mia - don't kill me!), but you get the idea!

As always, thanks for the support ---

To celebrate all your love and support here is something that combines my two loves = profanity and pie:

At long last -- I am now a Tumblr user!

I plan to use my new account to post quick pictures and quotes to supplement my full posts over here on the blog - I think it's easier to form a community and share posts over there, so I'll try it out for a bit!

Come on over and follow me friends!

A Rainy Sunday Shopping Trip

Sunday afternoon I ran out to grab ingredients for chili and buttermilk cornbread (yummy - try it here!), which of course meant a quick pop into Anthropologie to forage the sale room.  On the weekends in Chicago it can be a real quest for fire in there, but I battled the masses and scored big time!

First a few shots from around the store - the housewares are in all these gorgeous moody colors right now:

These are the sweetest "Pair of Pears" salt & pepper shakers...

All that OT money went toward some good sale items:

Ruffled Trench Coat + Scallop-Striped Dress

Draped Cardigan

It was one of those rare days where you find exactly what you were looking for, they only had one of it, and it was magically in your size - well worth the long hours!

Happy Birthday....to the Mister!

John turned 26 on Saturday and we threw him a birthday bash at our little Chicago apartment.  I only had time to snap a couple of photos - but believe me, I sure worked my crafting muscle for this one!

Crate and Barrel lent me a hand with a great Cider mix!

I hand stamped tons of little embellishments with his age...in fall colors of course!

Scoopers with fall mix and candy pleased John's HUGE sweet tooth...

He ate a bunch of these fresh from the oven...before I could even plate them up!

Made a new Paper Source wreath to spruce up the front door.

Finished up my spooky entryway, complete with a poison tray, for the festivities.

Thanks to everyone who attended - special shoutouts to my amazing mother for making her famous homemade pizza and to my Aunt Michelle for supplying a crockpot full of gooey mac and cheese.

"John's Favorites" birthday party was a great success!!!!  (love you dearest!)
