My lovely friend Anni is getting married in San Francisco in April but her bridal shower is at the end of this month --- her and her groom are heading to Italy to visit his family (he is an Italian citizen)! All of this is ironic since Anni and I met in 2007 when we were study abroad students in...ITALY. For the past 5 years she and I have tried to meet up once a year to visit each other and we make a trip out of it (Vegas, New York, visits to Chicago and visits to San Fran). Sometimes the bonds you make happen so quickly they take your breath away, Anni and I share a whole host of unique memories together (and one very special tattoo that she designed) and while my heart sunk a little knowing that I couldn't be at her bridal shower --- I sure as hell knew I would be sending her something special.
And so here it is, my bridal shower in a box, with love all the way from Chicago:
Anni never takes anything too seriously, so I made her a couple of quirky details to use:
Crafting Sources: Kraft Paper Flags, Chevron treat bags, Kraft Paper Letters, little embossed tags from the Gilded Bee (no longer available, but a good option here), pom poms were made by me using this pom pom maker and some festive yarn bought at Joann Fabrics.
I can't wait to celebrate with her and her dude in April (and I get to be a bridesmaid - how rad is that?!). Until then, warm wishes and tons of hugs to these two beautiful people (and the cutest pup named Doug):
