Saturday Scenes

Crafting for a bit today....

favor boxes with salt water taffy inside

a quick little monogram, polka-dots done with a white paint maker
and the boarder is patterned masking tape

It's been a busy past few days...we helped my mom contribute to the fight against cancer at the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life last night and preparing for it was a big task.  It went great!  A post all about it is soon to come!

Happy weekend!

Nautical Bridal Shower Invites

As promised, here are the lovely little invites we conceived and the brillant Maria Pelley of Swell Ink brought into this world.

Sure - the pictures are a tad blurry (it's okay iPhone!), but you can still see the glorious result.  I couldn't be happier with how they turned out, hopefully the bride-to-be shares my excitement!

Left detail: both sides of the RSVP card with the Invite Right detail: envelopes with custom wrap labels and finalized suite ready for mailing

Final product!

Those custom wrap labels with polka-dots were a dream!

Leave some love for the fabulous Maria!

Nautical Inspiration

Hello Everyone!!!

We'll do all the get-to-know-me stuff later (promise!), I'm too excited to start sharing! I want to tackle a theme that can get a bit cheesy, but going nautical shouldn't be overlooked!  Stripes are the thing of the season, and I'm loving all the fun you can have with this idea!

If you're going for cute instead of prep - I think these invites from InkObsessionDesigns do the trick:

This would be a fun little DIY project!  Using rope to create stylish details really cranks up the sweetness factor:

These creative coasters from The Curiosity Shoppe would look fabulous at each place setting:

Simple & ruffled centerpieces create a classy look, add some milk glass in there:

Anthropologie has a great selection of nautical inspired wares that you can scatter about your event:

The perfect favor, classic pulled salt water taffy from Mehlenbacher's Taffy:

BHLDN has a fresh crop of sea-worthy inspired decor and striped details:

Striped bunting.

Little silver whale bottle opener.

A candelabra with a twist.

Roped tealights.

Tiny ships in bottles.

Be sure to include some lovely little lanterns from Potterybarn:

OH - and have fun dressing the part!
